You tend to have a general plan of how you would like your life and future plans to go, and this recent change is certainly something you never envisioned experiencing.

Perhaps you have not experienced a loss like this and you are not sure how to feel. Typically you are able to weather a life change well and keep moving forward, but this time it feels different. You are blind sided by this turn of events, and you are wondering what to do next.

You are an active person who likes to stay busy but you haven’t been able to do those things because you lack the energy, interest, or maybe you don’t know why. You might feel nervous about starting counseling because you are not sure what to expect or if you will have a good connection with your counselor.

My name is Carly, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional. I completed my Masters of Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and my counseling experience includes working with domestic violence victims, working at a psychiatric hospital, and working in long-term partial care program. I earned my Bachelors of Science in communication studies from James Madison University, and I worked in marketing and public relations for several years. My own experience as a client in counseling during that time is what caused me to change careers to become a counselor. My goal as your counselor is to give you an opportunity to feel heard and supported. I look forward to working with you!

We have 2 offices, located in Chatham and Denville. Both are baby friendly, so feel free to bring your baby or leave baby at home. Whatever will make you more comfortable.
